3.10 Work input
3.10.1 Preparing for the loading process
• Adjust to the desired cutter number and therefore the
cutting length see Page III - 6
• Adjust the pick-up working height: see Page III -5
• Normal position of baffle plate: see Page III -5
The swathe should be uniform and loose.
3.10.2 The loading process
3.10.2.1 General information on loading
• Avoid pressing too hard. Switch on the advance in time
or, during loading, switch on the „moist“ automatic
state.
• When loading, adjust the speed of travel to the
thickness of the swathe, type of loading material and
the number of cutters installed.

3.10.2.2 For electromagnetic standard operation
When loading, proceed as follows:
•
Switch the pick-up switch to "Lower".
• Switch the tractor hydraulic system to „Lower or
Floating position“ so that the pick-up can adjust to the
condition of the ground.
When starting the loading process, switch on the
scraper-floor advance when the loading material has
reached approx. 3/4 of the total height in order to
prevent the pile from tipping over.
• Position the switch for operating the scraper floor to
„On“.
• Switch the tractor hydraulic system to „Pressure“ while
the scraper-floor is advancing.
• Switch the tractor hydraulic system to „Lower or
Floating position“.
• Position the switch for operating the scraper floor to
„Off“.
