The VIA administrator collaborates directly through the VIA unit by connecting a mouse and
keyboard to the VIA gateway unit (see

Using Gateway Dashboard
The gateway dashboard is usually used by the VIA administrator who connects a mouse and
keyboard directly to the VIA gateway unit (see
) or through a touchscreen interface. However, this dashboard can also be
accessed through an external device that is logged in to the meeting and in Collaboration
mode (see
To use the gateway dashboard:

Click the VIA logo in the lower left corner of the main display.
The gateway dashboard appears.

Showing Main Display on Participant Devices
VIA Connect
enables the administrator to show the main display on all meeting participant
devices, so they can obtain a closer look at the presentation and add personal annotations to
the content being presented.
The administrator can only share the main display with participants that are not presenting
and/or streaming video.
To start showing the main display on participant devices:

On the Gateway Dashboard, click the
Features >Screen Share
.
A check mark appears on the Screen Share icon and a new window with a live
representation of the main display and a toolbar appear on the participant screens.

Changing Default Encoding Format
VIA Connect
enables you to change the default encoding format for your device. This is the
encoding format used for presenting and streaming video from your device to
VIA Connect
to
be displayed on the main display. This change affects only your device.
The Web Administrator sets the default encoding format (see
