Initiate GUP5000™ and RCI5000 Communication
Upon running GUP5000, the application will try to 'communicate' with RCI5000 Multi
Channel using the first available serial port. If communication fails, the following
message will appear:
If the RCI5000 is powered on and properly connected to the computer, Click 'Cancel'.
From the main application menu, select
Tools
and
Options
from the sub menu.
This will open the 'Options' window. From the COM Port list, select the 'Serial port' to
which RCI5000 is connected. Click OK to save the configuration.

Options
The simplest way to recheck communication is to close GUP5000 and reopen it for it to
try communicating with the RCI5000 again on the newly defined serial port.
