(3) Function of Board
1. Remote Control
Using a 250V/10A relay, the board makes remote control available.
2. Free Voltage
The board is designed so that the input voltage can be used within 100VAC to 240VAC.
3. Improvement of reverse rate
The board is designed using the PFC circuit.
4. Protection
The OCP(Overcurrent Protection), OVP(Overvoltage Protection), Short Circuit Protection functions are
added against system malfunction.
(4) Block Diagram
[PFC (Power factor Correction)]
● PFC Circuit has used Boost Discontinuous Current Mode (DCM) PFC circuit.
When
“
ON
”
is inputted into a relay early, the relay moves to be operated and charges a capacitor at PFC
output
stage via resistance for the purpose of Inrush Current Limit. If the capacitor
’
s charge voltage is
over 340V, a relay for the purpose of Inrush Current Limit and Va Block (75Va.220Vset.75Vscan) are
operated via a comparator of PFC control circuit. Since then, PFC circuit starts working normally. The PFC
circuit has current control circuit to limit output and current of voltage circuit and switch, and output
overvoltage-protection circuit. If overvoltage occurs, the relay at input stage gets turned off and its setting
gets shot down.
[Vs_Switching / Va_Switching / V_digital V_analog Switching]
● Vs_Switching is a part to supply sustaining power which is the most closely related to PDP Panel, includes
power of 165Vs and 190Ve and its topology uses Full-Bridge circuit method. Drive Transformer has been
used to insulate Gate signal, the power of 12V has been used to drive IC and variable regulator is used for
sub-output, which is added to 165Vs power to be supplied for load. Switching Frequency has been 70 KHz
and it has a sequence operated after it gets increased to 5Vd power.
● Va_Switching is a part to supply power to 75Va, 75V scan and logic circuit. It consists of DC/DC Converter
and it is variable.
● V-digital V_analog Switching is a part to supply logic circuit power of 5Va, 9Vcc, 12Vcc and 5Vd.
Feedback for stabilizing voltage is designed to 5Vd, and the power of 5Va, 9Vcc and12Vcc is obtained
through transformer coupling by using each linear regulator. As it also senses PFC output voltage, it has
low-voltage OFF circuit and switching frequency is 100 KHz.
