you change Time source to NTP Client. The system will send request
packet to acquire current time from the NTP server you assigned.
IEEE 1588
: With the
Precision Time Protocol IEEE 1588
there is now, for
the first time, a standard available which makes it possible to synchronize
the clocks of different end devices over a network at speeds faster than one
Micro-second.
To enable IEEE 1588, select Enable in PTP Status and choose Auto, Master
or Slave Mode. After time synchronized, the system time will display the
correct time of the PTP server.
Time-zone
: Select the time zone where the switch is located. Following
table lists the time zones for different locations for your reference. The
default time zone is GMT Greenwich Mean Time.
