(Port) Interface Configuration:

in global
configuration mode. You can then enter interface configuration mode. In
this mode, you can configure port settings.
The port interface name for fast Ethernet port 1 is fa1,… fast Ethernet 7 is
fa7, fast Ethernet port 8 is fa8.. Gigabit Ethernet port 9 is gi9. Type interface
name accordingly when you want to enter certain interface configuration
mode.

(VLAN) Interface Configuration:

global configuration mode. You can then enter VLAN interface configuration
mode. In this mode, you can configure the settings for the specific VLAN.
The VLAN interface name of VLAN 1 is VLAN 1, VLAN 2 is VLAN 2…
