Setting to work summary

Once all the hardware units have been installed, and all the cables have been connected, the
Flexview can be turned on for the first time, and set to work.

Prerequisites

• All Flexview hardware units have been installed according to the relevant instructions.

• All system cables have been installed.

• All connections have been made.

• All operating power is available.

Procedure

1

Make sure that the Flexview is ready for operational use.

a

Make sure that the operational power is correct.

b

Make sure that all hardware is properly installed.

c

Make sure that all Flexview cables are properly connected.

Power up the Flexview for the first time.

3

Configure the Flexview for operational use.

a

If required, set the Sonar Processor to High Performance.

b

If required, install the Flexview operational software.

c

If required, define the IP address on the Sonar Processor network adapter.

Note

If you have a unique network environment (such as an IP Address conflict between
two devices on your network), or you are installing a second Sonar Head, then
you will need to change the IP Address of the Sonar Head. Refer to the Flexview
Reference Manual for more information.

Test the Flexview operational functionality.

To make sure that the Flexview meets all operational and functional requirements,
specific tests are required.
