The service life of the filter cartridge is 10 hours for breathing air applications and 40
hours of operation for industrial air applications. Filter changes should be recorded in the
service log (Section 10.2).
An optional cartridge is offered for industrial-only applications. This cartridge does not
have activated carbon, and may not be used for breathing air applications. Instead, it
increases the amount of material for absorption of water vapor, and offers a service life
of 50 hours.
The cartridges are vacuum packed and must be used within for 24 months of their seal
date. Once the cartridge is removed from its vacuum pack and put into service, it has a
one year life, independent of compressor usage.
2.3. Optional Equipment
2.3.1. Block Heater for operation below +5
°
C
If the temperature is anticipated to drop below 5
°
C, the block heater should be plugged
in. The compressor should be able operate down to -5
°
C with the use of the block heater,
although at temperatures below 0C, condensate may be subject to freezing.
2.4. Functional Description
Standard Equipment
The housing consists of the
base plate with the cover.
Most components are
mounted on the base plate. The drive consists of a 230V
motor, a pulley and drive
belt. The drive can also be a gas
motor with a V-belt pulley
and V-belts.
