(1) visible through the gauge indicates that maintenance is re-
quired.
Check, clean or change the filtering element as described in par-
agraph “4.7.1.h CHECKING, CLEANING OR CHANGING THE
AIR CLEANER CARTRIDGE”.
After performing the necessary maintenance operation, press

DANGER
•
Fuel is flammable; keep any naked flame away and do not
smoke while draining the fuel.
•
If some fuel is accidentally spilt, clean the dirty area im-
mediately.
The check can be carried out by means of the red ring (1) in-
stalled in the filter.
When the red ring floats on the surface of the water present in
the filter, it is necessary to drain the fuel tank by proceeding as
follows:
1 - Turn the cock (2) to stop the fuel flow.
2 - By means of the specific spanner provided, loosen the metal
ring (3), remove the container (4) and eliminate the water it
contains.
3 - Clean the sealing surface of the cover (5), install the O ring
and spread some grease on it.
4 - Put back the container (4), tighten the metal ring (3) and
open the fuel cock.
5 - Drain the fuel tank as described in paragraph “4.7.1.b
DRAINING THE FUEL TANK”.
6 - Bleed the fuel circuit as described in paragraph “4.7.9.b
CHANGING THE FUEL FILTER - BLEEDING THE FUEL
CIRCUIT”.
