12.2.4 Shaft end
Power transmission is made through the cylindrical shaft end, fit k6 to EN 50347, with a
locking thread. Bearing life is calculated with 20.000 operating hours.
Radial force
If the motors drive via pinions or toothed belts, then high radial forces will occur. The per-
missible values at the end of the shaft may be read from the diagrams in chapter "Dra-
wings" from p.62. The maximum values at rated speed you will find at the technical data.
Power take-off from the middle of the free end of the shaft allows a 10% increase in F

Axial force
When assembling pinions or wheels to the axis and use of e.g. angular gearheads axial
forces arise. The maximum values at rated speed you will find at the technical data.
Coupling
Double-coned collets have proved to be ideal zero-backlash coupling devices, combined,
if required, with metal bellows couplings.
12.2.5 Protective device
The standard version of each motor is fitted with an electrically isolated temperature sen-
sor (rated temperature 155°C
±
5%). The sensor does not provide any protection against
short, heavy overloading. The sensor is integrated into the monitoring system of the AKD.

12.2.6 Vibration class
The motors are made to vibration class A according to EN 60034-14.
For a speed range of 600-3600 rpm and a frame size between 56 and 132mm, this
means that the actual value of the permitted vibration severity is 1.6mm/s.
