2.10 Disposal and environment protection
CAUTION
Environmental and health hazards by incorrect disposal.
Incorrect waste disposal leads to environment and water supply pollution and could result in minor
or moderate injuries by hazards from related actions.

Observe the country-specific regulations regarding environmental protection when disposing of
scrap materials.
u
Before disposing or recycling waste products, ask for the correct method at the responsible
environmental or recycling center.

When handling waste, lubricants and fuel make sure that none is disposed into the environ-
ment.
u
Collect and dispose waste, lubricants and fuel in separate, suitable, properly designated
containers.
u
Use adapted leak-proof containers to drain lubricants and fuel. Use of food or drink containers is
prohibited.
u
Dispose all scrap materials only at official locations in an environment-friendly manner.
