Section 8
Electrical System and Components

Stator
The stator is mounted on the crankcase behind the
flywheel. If the stator needs to be replaced, follow the
procedures in Section 9 - “Disassembly.”

Rectifier-Regulator
The rectifier-regulator is mounted on the bracket below
the overflow reservoir. See Figure 8-8. To replace it;
disconnect the connector plug and remove the two
screws. Take off the rectifier-regulator.

NOTE: When installing the rectifier-regulator, make

sure the cooling fins are "in", towards the fan.
