Tightening the knife
Open the knife guard (7-10/1).
Place knife (7-10/2) on the driven spur gear, center
with the clamping nut (7-10/3) and tighten with
the flange wrench (7-0/4).
Close the knife guard (7-10/1).
Adjust the safety slides (7-11/1) so that the
distance between safety slides and the machine
is max. 5 mm, depending upon the size of the
circular knife.
To shift, loosen the star knobs (7-11/2).
Grinding activity is carried out as described in
Chapter 7.3.
Danger of injury from rotating knife. The safety slides must be adjusted
correctly.
Be careful while unclamping the knife! Sharp knife edge!
Danger of serious cut injuries!
Wear protective gloves.
CAUTION
ATTENTION
Only use switch position “Hone” when using
the grinding device for d. 60 - 180 mm.
Damage to knife and gears may occur other-
wise.
