4.3 pH monitor (optional)
The pH monitor is used to measure the pH value in aqueous solutions
such as buffers. The pH monitor consists of a pH electrode and a pH flow
cell.
When flushing the monitor at high flowrates or using non-saline solvents,
the pH electrode should be excluded from the flowpath. If the pH electro-
de is not plugged into the socket of the CM 2.1S (s. Fig. 1, Nr.
3
), cover
the socket using the BNC blind plug.

the cable of the pH electrode
