on the

front side of the monitor.

Integrate the pH monitor into the FPLC/HPLC flow path by installing it

down stream of the conductivity monitor. You can do this by mounting

the pH monitor onto the AZURA® Organizer, which is placed on the

AZURA® Click (both sold separately) at the side of the system. For more

information see supplement “

AZURA® Organizer  (V6868)

“.

Note:

Make sure that the maximum backpressure of 5 bar is not

exceeded in this configuration.

4.3.2  Connecting pH monitor to capillaries

The pH monitor has been mounted to the monitor.
Connect the capillaries in the direction of the flow. Use bushings and

fer rules with flat bottoms. Do not use any tools to tighten the bushings.

INLET: Connect the capillary coming from the conductivity monitor.

ƒ

OUTLET: Connect the capillary which either go to waste, another

detector or the fraction collector.

Conduct the calibration of the pH electrode with 2 different pH calibrat-

ion buff er solutions (e. g. 4 and 7, see chapter „Calibrating the pH electro-

de“ on page 27).
