NetDisk can be used with a variety of applications. It is ideal for all users that cannot afford NAS

partments, schools and public institutions. NetDisk technology’s convenience and low cost provides
the best storage solution for home / office networking.

2. How is NetDisk different from NAS or SAN?
NetDisk is a better alternative to NAS or SAN. NetDisk is much more cost-effective, efficient and
easy to use. It is for users looking for lower costs and storage associated with backup / archiving.
Although both NetDisk and NAS are storage devices that are implemented over a network, NetDisk
takes up less space than NAS or SAN products. NetDisk utilizes NDAS technology - allowing it to
connect the hard disk directly to a network without a server. In NAS, the hard disk must be con-
nected to a storage server, which must also be connected to the network.
3. For NDAS mode, do I need drivers installed on each computer using NetDisk?
Yes, the drivers need to be loaded on each computer that wants access to NetDisk. Also, they all
should be running the same version of the NetDisk software if available.
1. I am having trouble mounting the NetDisk in Multi-write. What do you recommend?
Anytime you are not able to mount the NetDisk in Read/Write Mode (also knows as multi-write)
please check to make sure that every user on the network is running the SAME exact version of the
NDAS software.
Only Windows 2000 / XP /Vista and 2003 Server can share the NetDisk in Multi-write mode. Every
other operating system can only have one user with Read/Write at a time.
