Tyre Pressure and Travel Speed Guide
Note
: Your individual tyre pressures will be different.
(BFG 265/75 R16 All Terrain Tyres used as example in this guide - for other tyres see tyre manufacturer’s data.)
These Pressures are for COLD – approx 20°C (68°F) temperatures.
For every 10°C (50°F) temperature rise, increase desired temperature by 5%

WARNING:
This table is a guide only.
Local conditions, the load in your unit and the behaviour of your vehicle under different loads will change the way it
handles. Control your speed at all times especially in diffi cult or unknown conditions. In our experience we have also
found the quality of the tow vehicle tyres can have an affect on the towing behaviour of our trailers.
Important Information to Protect your investment
The accurate method of understanding how much heat is dissipating from
your shock absorbers is to actually know the temperature of your shock
absorbers. Two ways to monitor shock temperature:
1. Use an Infrared Thermometer (temperature gun)
2.
Via Smart Touch Display system (where fi tted)
SAFETY WARNING
• DO NOT FEEL THE TEMPERATURE WITH YOUR HAND. SEVERE
BURNING AND SKIN DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.
If the shock temperatures approach 155°C, reduce your speed and
reduce your tyre pressures.
The benefi t of monitoring temperatures is that you can tune your road
speed and tyre pressure and confi dently know that you are travelling within
a safe range.
Shock temperatures over 180°C will void warranty on the shock
absorbers.
Shock temperatures of 200°C will cause failures in the shock absorbers.
