Immobilizer system

vehicle inoperable.
NOTICE
僅 Avoid trying to start the engine while
the alarm is activated. The vehicle
starting motor is disabled during the
theft-alarm stage.
僅 If the system is not disarmed with the
remote key, insert the mechanical key
into the ignition switch, turn the igni
-
tion switch to the ON position and
wait for 30 seconds. Then the system
will be disarmed.
Immobilizer system
The immobilizer system reduces the risk
of unauthorized vehicle use.
It is comprised of a small transponder in
the ignition switch and electronic
devices inside the vehicle. It checks and
determines and verifies if the ignition
key is valid or not.
If the key is valid, the engine will start. If
the key is invalid, the engine will not
start.
Vehicles with the remote key
Operation
1. To deactivate the immobilizer system,
insert the mechanical key into the
ignition switch and turn to the ON
position.
2. To activate the immobilizer system,
turn the mechanical key to the OFF
position.
3. The immobilizer system activates
automatically. Without a valid remote
key for your vehicle, the vehicle will
not start.
Vehicles with the smart key (if
equipped)
Operation
1. To deactivate the immobilizer system,
press the ENGINE START/STOP but

ton to the ON position.
2. To activate the immobilizer system,
press the ENGINE START/STOP but
-
ton to the OFF position.
3. The immobilizer system activates
automatically. Without a valid smart
key for your vehicle, the vehicle will
not start.
