Using Cloud Storage
The Cloud Storage function of your NVR enables you to activate a cloud storage account and send snapshots taken
from the connected cameras to virtual storage. This feature allows users to see what is happening on your camera
site anytime, anywhere through the Internet. Sending the snapshots can be set according to time interval and when a
motion is detected.
For the time being, your NVR supports the Dropbox virtual storage. Before setting up the cloud storage on the NVR,
you need to make sure your Dropbox account is created and activated and your NVR is connected to the Internet (see
“Network: Network” on page 49
).
How to Create a Dropbox Account
To create an account for accessing Dropbox service, do the following:
• If you are using a PC, open the web browser and navigate to
www.dropbox.com
. The main page opens. Click on
Sign up
. Fill in the required fields and activate your account.
• If you are using a smart phone/pad then download and open the
Dropbox
app. On
Welcome to Dropbox
first
page click
Start
and then choose
I’m New to Dropbox
. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account.
