To increase measurement sensitivity and smooth the noise:

Connect the cable from the tracking generator output to the
analyzer input. Store the frequency response in trace 3 and
normalize:

Reconnect the DUT to the analyzer and change the normalized
reference position:

Measure the rejection of the low pass filter:

NOTE
To reduce ripples caused by source return loss, use 6 dB or greater
output attenuation. Tracking generator output attenuation is normally a
function of the source power selected. However, the output attenuation
may be controlled in the Tracking Generator menu.
