Probe Calibration

Calibrating the Probe on InfiniiVision Oscilloscopes

Allow the oscilloscope and probe to warm up for 20 minutes before performing the probe

calibration.

Procedure

1

Connect the probe to one of the oscilloscope channels.

2

Connect the probe to the calibration terminals. On 3000 X-series oscilloscopes, connect

the probe’s signal tip to the front-panel

Demo 2 / Probe Comp

terminal and the ground tip to

the ground terminal.

Press the Channel on/off key to turn the channel on (if the channel is off).

In the Channel Menu, press the

Probe

softkey.

5

Press the

Calibrate Probe

softkey and follow the instructions on the display.

NOTE

When you connect the probe, the

Calibrate Probe

softkey in the Channel Probe Menu

becomes active.
