Introduction to Programming

Getting Started with the L4490A/L4491A Web-Enabled Interface

This feature is limited to external channel drive sources (power supplies) with

the capability to drive multiple channels.

boot/reset channel drive - this parameter specifies the channel drive source

setting following a re-boot (power-up) or reset of the instrument.

Switch/Attenuator Channel Configuration Window

The switch/attenuator channel configuration window is opened by right-clicking

near the ‘IsOpen’ or ‘IsClosed’ labels on the ‘programming diagram’.

The configuration window applies to the individual channels on the distribution

board. The parameters of this window include:

operation mode - enables channel pairing for dual-coil devices.

channel state after boot or Reset - specifies the channel state (opened, closed)

following power-on or reset (assumes boot/reset channel drive state is set).

activation type - specifies pulsed or continuous drive current.

pulse width - specifies the pulse width of the drive current.

recovery time - specifies the period between activation pulses
