7. Remove the ribbon cable from the plastic clamps, then route the cable to the
second (left side) 34945EXT and connect it to the Control Bus port. Note that the
port terminals are inverted relative to the terminals of the right 34945EXT. Insure
the ribbon cable is securely connected to the left side 34945EXT port. It is not
necessary to insert the screws.

8. Place the L4491A in a stable position and reconnect the power cord and LAN
cable (if removed). Turn on the L4491A.
9. Repeat steps 1-4 to update the firmware on the second 34945EXT. Once the
update completes (step 4), turn off the L4491A and disconnect the power cord.
Remove the ribbon cable from the second 34945EXT and reconnect it to the
master (right side) 34945EXT. Re-insert the excess cable in the clamps and
re-insert and tighten the cable connector screws.

Use care when handling the L4491A chassis with the top and bottom
covers removed as components within the chassis are susceptible to
damage from ESD.
