6.10 KERN ADB / ADJ Series
The software of ADB / ADJ scale series does not have the density determination
function.
However, when combined with KERN Easy Touch software and <KERN SET-04
EasyTouch Density> application, it ensures easy, graphics-assisted determination of
solid body and liquid density (direct calculation and display of density).

Install KERN Easy Touch on your computer
(the pack of Basic ET license KERN SET-01 + KERN SET-04 application)

Using the appropriate RS-232C cable, connect the scale to the Com port of
your computer.
Trouble-free operation is ensured only when the appropriate interface cable by
KERN is used (optional).

Prepare the scale, see chapter 4.3.1 .

Install the density determination kit on your scale, see chapter 4.3.2 .

Remove the immersion basket and place a beaker filled with auxiliary liquid in
the plate center. It should be filled to ca. ¾ of its volume. It must not touch the
stand.
Hang the immersion basket again. It must not touch the beaker. Zero the
scale.

Whenever required, determine the sinker volume, see chapter 6.1
.

Determine the density, following the software instructions.
