Care and safety instructions
Dear kela customer,
We congratulate you on the pur-
chase of your long-lasting quality
product from kela. In order to have
many years of enjoyment with it,
please read the following product
information and instructions for
use and care, as well as the safety
recommendations.
With a “Hot Stone” by kela, you
are completely on trend when it
comes to healthy nutrition. The
even heating of the stone enables
delicate and gentle preparation
of meat, fish and vegetables.
Due to the special fat-free grilling
method, the grilled food retains
its unadulterated typical flavour
and particularly also the natural
nutrients.
MATERIAL, CLEANING AND
CARE
The stone is a natural product and
is mined in large quarries, sawn
and cut to the appropriate size.
In spite of its solid substance, it
is porous, which may lead to fine
hairline cracks appearing when
the stone is heated to a high
temperature. After the plate cools
down, these cracks usually close
up again, but remain visible due to
the fat that has penetrated during
grilling. The hairline cracks do not
reduce the quality of the device
in any way and do not impair its
functionality. Only in the rarest
cases, do the hairline cracks lead
to breakage of the plate.
Use
Prior to initial use, you should
clean the stone carefully with hot
water and oil it well. Place the
stone
in the cold oven
and heat
it up to 200 °C. After this, the heat
will be maintained by the rechaud.
You can also heat up the stone on
the rechaud.
All parts can become very hot
from use. Please use a grill glove
or potholder at all times, if you
touch or transport the stone.
Our tip:
Avoid contact with acidic
food, such as vinegar, as this
may attack the stone. The meat
remains more tender, if it is not
salted on the stone.
Cleaning instructions
Only clean the stone with hot
water when it is cold, soak, if
necessary. Never use detergents
or abrasives. A good cleaning
result can also be achieved with
a ceramic surface scraper - we
recommend our Vision cooking
surface cleaner Art. No. 19248.
RECHAUD / FRAME
Before using the device, ensure
that the rechaud is stably posi-
tioned and protect your table top
from radiant heat, if necessary.

Instructions for use
- Open burner (screw cap).
- Use safety fuel paste. Remove
lid.
Please note:
For your safety,
only use the appropriate safety
fuel passes. Our recommenda-
tion: kela Safety Fuel Paste Art.

priate rechaud and light.
Please

Only use appropriate
rechauds with good and stable
positioning.
- Regulate strength of flame with
slider.
Please note:
Never leave
children unsupervised near the
device.
