6. The display should now be alternately
fl
ashing CP4 and 10. This is the cath-
ode purge value. The number 10 is the
fl
ow in sccm that
fl
ows even when
the Auto Controller is in standby if either the Auto Gas or Manual Gas Op-
erating Mode are selected. Use the Gas Adjust knob to dial in the desired
purge gas
fl
ow, or dial in 0 if no purge gas is desired. When
fi
nished, press
and release the Operating Mode button.
7. The display should now read b, followed by a number. This controls how
many times the Auto Controller beeps if the operating parameters have
been changed without saving them, or when a fault occurs. Turn the Gas
Adjust knob to select the desired number of beeps. When
fi
nished, press
and release the Operating Mode button.
8. The display should now be alternating between P35 and 0 or 1. This deter-
mines the functionality of pin 35 on the DB35 connector. When set to 0, pin
35 serves as the gas ratio pin. When set to 1, this pin allows selection of
the gas only mode from the rear panel. When set to 2, this allows the user
to remotely switch from local to remote by means of grounding pin 35 to pin
7 or 8.
9. The display should now be alternately
fl
ashing d25 and the number 1 or 2.
This controls the DB25 analog I/O for the mark I or Mark II power supplies.
Turn the Gas Adjust knob to either 1 for Mark I or 2 for Mark II I/O. When
fi
nished, press and release the Operating Mode button.
The Auto Controller has now been con
fi
gured and is ready to use.
