The EX4100 switch models have field-replaceable units (FRUs) such as AC/DC power supplies and fan
modules. The EX4100-F (fixed-form) switch models have built-in power supplies and fans.
EX4100 switch models are:
EX4100 gigabit switch models

You can manage EX4100 and EX4100-F switches from the cloud and on premise. The switches allow for
simple, efficient, and scalable network management using cloud-based hosted management applications,
on-premise management tools, and APIs.
Because EX4100 and EX4100-F switch models support Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) technologies, you
can deploy them anywhere: core, distribution, or access layer. This aspect of the switch models also
allows for a network overlay that provides uniform multisite connectivity.
Multigigabit port configurations supporting MACsec AES256 encryption allow you to use Wi-Fi 6 access
points to provide secure and scalable bandwidth usage for users and applications.
You can manage EX4100 and EX4100-F switches from the CLI.

supplies and fans, graceful Routing Engine switchover (GRES), and nonstop bridging and routing when
deployed in a Virtual Chassis configuration.
Mist Cloud managed—EX4100 and EX4100-F switches are built to be cloud native. You can manage
activities and features such as onboarding, fast bootup, streaming telemetry, and fast changes (JET) from
