When sharpening, removing, or reattaching the blade, proper tools and
equipment are required to prevent injury.
When replacing blade or any other part or when replacing the oil or any
lubricant, always be sure to use products or products which have been certified
for use with the brush cutter.
7.3 GETTING STARTED
7.3.1.Set Up
Accessory
Insert the lower tube into the main pole
tube until shaft aligns into position.
Ensure assembly is tight and secured.
Gear case
Check screws of gear case and tighten if necessary. (Fig.BC3)
Safety guard
Attach the protection device to the main tube, below the drive housing, and then
secure it using the 4 screws and nuts provided.
7.3.2 Installing the metal blade (Fig. BC5)
1. Turn the internal plate to align its hole with that of the gear shaft then insert the
hex key to lock them.
2. Remove the lock nut, the bell and the support plate.
3. Place the support plate and the bell on the internal support, blade. Then install
the lock nut and tighten it.
4. Finally remove the hex key.
To remove the blade, insert the hex key into the hole, then unscrew
the nut to release the blade.
7.3.3 Installing the nylon wire spool (Fig.BC6)
1. Turn the internal plate to align its hole with that of the gear shaft then insert the
hex key to lock them.
2. Remove the lock nut, the bell and the support plate.
