3. SAFETY MATTERS
• Do not wear loose clothing when the engine is in operation. It can become
entangled in JetSurf Electric moving parts.
3.6. PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICES (PFDs)
It is the responsibility of the owner/operator to comply with any and all laws, statutes and
requirements for personal safety. American federal law requires the wearing of a U.S. Coast
Guard-approved* personal flotation device (PFD) under most circumstances. State and local
laws and statutes may also vary from federal requirements.

It is important for all users to check with their relevant local Authorities for all
information relating to the use of safety accessories. JetSurf takes no responsibility
for failure of users to comply with the relevant laws which apply to the use of personal
water craft in any specific location.

that they are properly outfitted for conditions and to comply with the law of the
countries where JetSurf is used.
3.7. LAW ENFORCEMENT
When underway, operators may be required to cease manoeuvres and allow U.S. Coast Gu -
ard* or state law enforcement personnel to come alongside. Some Countries, States and juri -
sdictions may require a minimum age to operate the motorized board, pass a training course,
and/or possess an operator’s license. Requirements vary widely. If operating in a location that
allows minors, such activity should be done only under adult supervision.

3.8. SPEEDING/NOISE
Some areas have restrictions regarding speed related to creating waves and maximal noise
restrictions. Operators of motorized boards are required to adhere to these requirements.
3.9. REGISTRATION
In many jurisdictions, it will not be necessary to register the motorized board with the state
of principal use. However, because the motorized board is motorized, registration may be
necessary. Verify with the state and local law enforcement entities in the area in which the
motorized board will be used most prior to using for the first time.
