12. TRANSPORTATION
Warning (Danger of accidents)
• Never transport JetSurf Electric with JetSurf Battery Pack inside.
• Battery transportation can be dangerous and, in some jurisdictions, may be illegal.
• Discharge the Battery Pack before transportation.
Note (Material damage)
• Always take out all fins before transportation.
• Carbon fibre is a fragile material despite its strength, so it is not enough to
pack the board in the original JetSurf Electric bag, but you must add additional
protective layers.
12.1. AIR TRANSPORTATION
Batteries are subject to dangerous goods regulations. When transported by third parties (eg
by air or mail order service) special packaging and labeling requirements must be observed.

Caution
The battery must not be carried in the aircraft as hand luggage.
12.2. TRANSPORT TO SERVICE
Before transportation, place the motorized surf in the original board bag and add further pro-
tection layers (for example wrap the board bag with the motorized board in bubble wrap and
wrap it all in stretch foil or insert the bag in a carton box).

Apart from a name tag and contact details, we recommend enclosing a detailed
description of the problem when sending the JetSurf for service.
Note (Material damage)
When sending your JetSurf Electric for a service back to your Authorized JETSURF
Dealer or directly to the manufacturer, you do not have to send all the accessories
together with the motorized board (e.g. fins or charger… ).
