Submenu: Services
The menu Configuration -> Services is for accessing the Data Services, Directory services, Backup
and AntiVirus options.
Data Services
The menu Configuration -> Services -> Data services or Data services tab of the operation area
provides to enable, disable and configure the data services. Currently, it supports CIFS, NFS, AFP,
FTP, WebDAV, and iSCSI data services. All data services are enabled by default.
CIFS
The CIFS (Common Internet File System) tab is used to setup CIFS protocol. The CIFS is a network
protocol that offers file services for Windows computers. JetStor unified storage provides CIFS
capability without the need for a Windows server in the network. Starting this service will open the
following ports on the JetStor Unified Storage system:
TCP 139 (smbd)
TCP 445 (smbd)
UDP 137 (nmbd)
UDP 138 (nmbd)
Click Change button to enable/disable the CIFS protocol and setup its configurations.
