U Series User Manual

Here to use “Expand”?

First, Pool 1 is created with one RAID set, which is configured as RAID 0 with 2 disks.

We need to expand the capacity of Pool 1 by adding another RAID set – a RAID 5 with 4

disks. Go to Pool tab. Select the pool you want to expand. Right click to bring out

function menu and select Expand.

Pool name can’t be changed since this is to expand the current pool, not creating a new

pool. Select RAID 5 and select the drives needed. Click Finish to complete adding a new

RAID set.
