Launching a reflectometry test and displaying results

OptiPulses option

The OptiPulses function is delivered as a licence, available on option
with the T-BERD/MTS.

It is usable with OTDR trace exclusively and can be used before
performing an OTDR acquisition.

This option allows to merge the results of the short acquisition with those
of the standard one in the results table and summary page.

Configuring the

OTDR

acquisition with

OptiPulses

mode

Once the installation of the licence is completed (see Base-Unit manual)
and the ExpertOTDR icon is selected in the

Home

page:

hard key to display the configuration parameters

In the

Acquisition

parameters, select

OptiPulses

and configure

the acquisition:

No OTDR short acquisition with the shorted
pulsewidth is performed before the standard one

Auto

this parameter allows to perform a short
acquisition, before the standard one, with the

Short Pulse

and

Short Range

parameters

defined automatically.

Manual

this parameter allows to perform a short
acquisition, before the standard one, with the

Short Pulse

and

Short Range

parameters

defined by the user in the two following lines.
