Appendix F USB Supplement File Installation.
Windows® 95 does not recognize the PIIX4 controller built into your
motherboa rd, you ha ve to perform the steps a s described below before you can
use the devices, such a s USB devices, controlled by PIIX4 under Windows®
95.
Condition
1: Windows® 95 and USB Supplement Release 2.1
(OSR2.1) are installed.
1.
Make a backup copy of the MACHINE.INF, MSHDC.INF and
USB.INF files under INF directory of your Windows® 95.
Then replace them with the files of the same names provided
on the "PIIX4 DRV. for Win95 OSR 2.x" software diskette.

Run the
Control Panel
and then select
System
.

Device Manager

Select
View Device by Connection
.

Select
Plug and Play BIOS

Select
PCI Bus
.

Select
Remove
.

Select
Yes
to restart the system.

Windows® 95 will display messages when various hardware
components in the system are recognized. When prompted to
install a driver, select the
