Introduction
Janam’s XG4 rugged mobile computer offers keypad and touchscreen functionality on the same
device. The Janam XG4 comes in three different versions, with either a 42-key function-numeric
keypad (see below left), a 31-key numeric keypad (see below middle) or a 52-key alpha-numeric
keypad (see below right).
Navigation keys
Located in the center of the keypad for easy access with either hand, the navigation keys enable you
to move the cursor up and down lines and from character to character.

Orange key
(31-key keypad)
Cycles the keypad between
de-
fault white function
and
low-
ercase alpha
modes. Push SHIFT
in
lowercase alpha
mode to get
uppercase
and SHIFT again to
return to
lowercase.
Blue key
(31-key keypad)
Push once to make the next key
pressed to its blue function. Push
twice to stay in blue function.
Orange key
(42-key keypad)
Cycles the keypad between
de-
fault white function
and
low-
ercase alpha
modes. Push
SHIFT in
lowercase alpha
mode
to get
uppercase
and SHIFT
again to return to
lowercase.
Blue key
(42-key keypad)
Push once to make the next key
pressed to its blue function. Push
twice to stay in blue function.
ORANGE, BLUE and GREEN modifier keys
The small
orange
,
blue
and
green
keys modify the primary function of hardware keys as follows:
Orange key
