Calculate the Maximum Frame or Trigger Rate (Approximate)
Related Setting Items:
This section describes how to calculate the maximum frame rate or the maximum trigger rate
(approximate). First, calculate the H Period, then calculate the minimum frame period based on the H
Period value, and finally calculate the maximum frame rate (when in Continuous mode) or maximum
trigger rate (when in Trigger mode).
Notes:
l
The frame rate calculated in this topic is an approximate value and may have a certain
margin of error (approx. ±0.2%).
l
The following conditions are applied:
l
GevSCPD = 0 (default)
l
NetworkThroughputSafetyMargin = 92% (default)
l
GevGVSPExtendedIDMode = Off (default)
l
The frame rate calculator is available to calculate the maximum frame rate/trigger rate.
1. Calculate the H Period
The H Period value can be calculated from the LineTime[clk] value, which is calculated using the IF_
LINETIME, SENSOR_LINETIME, and VIDEO_LINETIME values.
IF_LINETIME, SENSOR_LINETIME, VIDEO_LINETIME
A. IF_LINETIME
First calculate SendTime from the Payload, PacketNum and Overhead values, then calculate IF_
Hperiod from SendTime, and finally calculate IF_LINETIME from IF_Hperiod.
1. Calculate
Payload[Byte]
.
Payload[Byte] = Width(*1) x Height(*1) x (PixelSize / 8)
For
Width (*1)
and
Height (*1)
, if using a
