11.2 MOWER RELAYS __________________________________________________________
Relay Description Function
KYI / K1 Key Switch “I” When the PTO switch is in the OFF position, the parking brake and neutral switches are
closed, the relay supplies power to the KYS/K3 relay.
KYA / K2 Key Switch “A” When the ignition switch is in the RUN position and the operator is in the seat, the relay
supplies power to the alternator IG circuit.
KYS / K3 Key Switch “S” When the ignition switch is in the START position, the PTO switch is in the OFF position, the
parking brake and neutral switches are closed the relay engages the starter motor.
BK1 / K4 Brake -Start The relay is part of the start circuit. When the parking brake is engaged, the relay closes.
BK2 / K5 Brake-Run When the parking brake is engaged, the relay disconnects power to the CRS relay.
When the operator is not in the seat with the parking brake disengaged, the relay
disconnects power to the alternator IG circuit.
NT1 / K6
Neutral-Start The relay is part of the start circuit. When the traction pedal is in the NEUTRAL position, the
relay closes.
NT2 / K7 Neutral-Run When the operator leaves seat with traction pedal not in the NEUTRAL position, the relay
disconnects power to the alternator IG circuit.
NT3 / K8 Neutral-Cruise When the traction pedal is in the NEUTRAL position, the relay disconnects power to the
CRS relay.
ML / K9 Mow -Left
Deck
When the left wing deck is lowered, the 4WD and the PTO switch are in the ON position, the
relay energizes the left wing deck solenoid.
MC / K10 Mow-Center
Deck
When the front deck is lowered, the 4WD and the PTO switch are in the ON position, the
relay energizes the front deck solenoids.
MR / K11 Mow-RIght
Deck
When the right wing deck is lowered, the 4WD and the PTO switch are in the ON position,
the relay energizes the right wing deck solenoid.
CRS / K12 Cruise Control When the cruise control switch is closed, traction pedal is pressed and parking brake is
disengaged, the relay energizes the cruise control magnet.
4WD / K13 Four Wheel
Drive
When the 4WD switch on the control panel and the forward sensing switch on the traction
pump are closed, the relay energizes the 4WD solenoid.
DPF / K14 DPF System The relay maintains the DPF inhibit signal with ignition switch in the start position.
