After Ironing
•
Set the temperature control dial to “min” and the steam knob to “
” = 0 dry position.
•
Disconnect from the mains supply.
•
Open the water filling inlet cover.
•
Invert iron and shake it to empty the water tank.
•
Then stand the iron in an upright position and allow it to cool down.
•
Always store the iron (with water emptied from water tank) standing on its heel in a safe and
dry place.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION
: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before any
cleaning or maintenance operations.
• Set the temperature control dial to “min” and the steam knob to “
” = 0 dry position.
•
Disconnect from the mains supply by removing the plug.
•
Certain fabric finish residues may build up on the soleplate. These may be removed by
cleaning with a rough cloth soaked in vinegar water solution. Then dry with a cloth.
•
Do not use abrasives or scouring pads to clean the soleplate.
•
Keep the soleplate smooth: avoid hard contact with metal objects. Do not scratch or damage
the surface of the soleplate.
•
Wipe the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaners as
they may damage the surface of the iron.
•
Never immerse the iron, the power cord or the plug in water or any liquids.
•
Do not put vinegar or other de-scaling agents into the water tank.
•
To clean the steam holes simply use a damp cloth to wipe away any build up of lint or starch
from inside the steam holes.
Storage
•
Set the temperature control dial to “min” and the steam knob to “
”= 0 dry position.
• Disconnect from the mains supply by removing the plug.
• Empty all the water from the tank. Never store the appliance with water in the tank.
• Place the appliance on its base and allow it to cool down completely before storing.
• Store the iron on a vertical position on its base.
