Dear customer,
Thank you very much for the trust you have placed in us. You have bought one of the most effective, compact
and reliable quick chargers in its class.
Please read these instructions for use carefully to familiarize yourself with the product prior to putting it into
operation.

This device is no toy and must not be used by children! Danger to life!

The use of the device under unfavourable environmental conditions must be avoided under all
circumstances.
Unfavourable environmental conditions include: ambient temperatures above 50°C,
flammable gases, solvents, vapours, dust, relative humidity in excess of 80 %, and moisture.

The device must only be operated in dry and closed rooms.

If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be switched off
immediately and secured against unintentional operation. Safe operation can no longer be assumed if the
device is not functioning, has visible damage, has been damaged in transport, or after storage under
unfavourable conditions.

Service and repairs may only be carried out by authorized and qualified personnel.
Intended use
The device is exclusively intended to charge NiCd and NiMH batteries.
Other batteries imply explosion hazard!

Operation
Attention! Only for charging NiCd or NiMH batteries. Explosion hazard when charging other
batteries!
Environmental safety: Do not dispose of batteries with household waste. Dispose of defective batteries
at a public collection site or your local dealer.
Battery Analysis
Every charging compartment is equipped with an LCD display. Running, increasing segments and the numerical
capacity indicator (Ah) inform you about the capacity and condition of all batteries, relative to one another.
Cells within one battery pack or group with capacity values significantly below the values of the other cells should
be replaced, as the cell with the lowest capacity determines the performance of the battery pack or battery group.
Thus, the AV4
is also a battery analyser. Bad batteries will be recognized and may be replaced individually
instead of replacing the entire battery pack. This protects the environment and your purse.
