Connect to existing 8200 / 8300 /
8310 Ion Power system
(if used). In
cases where the unit is being used
to replace or expand an existing Ion
Power system, 24V power may be
received from the (24 VDC) Ion Power
system. The connection to the Ion
Power system will also provide for
digital communication.
The IQ Power BPS power supply may
have to have its address (number)
changed to match a unit being replaced
or avoid duplication in systems
containing multiple power supplies.
This is necessary to enable reliable
digital communication. Changing the
address (number) must be done prior to
connection with the Ion Power system.).

(address) for details on re-addressing
the power supplies.
Adapter kits and cables are available
to connect the IQ Power™ BPS to an
existing 8200, 8300 or 8310.
5051701 Comm Adapter Kit, 8115
to 8200 / 8300 / 8310 is a plug-in
adapter to allow connection between
an existing Ion Power system and the COMM 1 connector on the IQ Power™. The
required cable is included.
5051693 Adapter Block Kit, VAC / Ion Power to 8115/IQ Power™ is an enclosed
terminal block on a short modular cable that can be used to adapt the existing wiring
from an Ion Power system to plug into COMM 1 on the IQ Power™. It does require
user cable preparation to terminate.
5051692 Cable Kit (10’), Hardwire Ion Power to 8115/IQ Power™ is a modular cable
used to connect the COMM 1 connector on the IQ Power™ to the internal terminal
block on an existing Ion Power system component (8200, 8300 or 8310).

information on connecting adapters shown above. Detailed instructions are included
with the kit.
Digital communication with the IQ Power™ BPS provided by the above wiring
devices will be similar to that from a typical Ion Power Module (e.g. 8100, 8154,
8155). With regard to data, the IQ Power™ BPS emulates the 8100 Power Module.
