2.7.6 Tripping over the hose package
ATTeNTION!
If the hose package is under tension, there is the danger that persons may trip over it and be
injured.
WARNING!
Tripping over could cause the plug to be pulled out so that in the worst case an arc may arise
between the plug and the orbital weld system. Burns and glaring light may be the result.
X
Ensure that
under no circumstances
can people trip over the hose package.
X
Do not
place the hose package under tension. This also applies to storage of the orbital weld head after dismantling.
X
Place the orbital weld head in the transport case after dismantling.
X
Ensure that the hose package is connected properly and that the strain relief is attached.
2.7.7 electric shock
Two electrical potentials are applied during the welding process:
• Potential 1: Rotor / electrode.
• Potential 2: Ground terminal and remaining components of the orbital weld head including clamping inserts and tube.
WARNING!
Danger of an electric shock at simultaneous contact with both potentials during the high-fre-
quency ignition.
DANGeR!
Risk of death for people with heart problems or a cardiac pacemakers.
X
From the start of the welding process avoid contact with the ground terminal, the tube and the housing of the orbital weld
head.
2.7.8 Damage to eyes through radiation
WARNING!
During the welding process infrared, glaring and ultraviolet rays arise that can seriously
damage the eyes.
X
During the welding process only operate the tube-to-tube-sheet orbital weld head with a non-transparent protective gas
shield.
