Welding
Prerequisite: Welding power supply connected and ready to operate.
1. Insert the clamping arbor into the tube until the contact surface of the welding ring touches the tube bottom.
2. Clamp the head in the tube by pressing the pneumatic button (toward the tube bottom).
3. Press the
START/STOP
button to start the welding process.
4. The welding process ends automatically after the gas post purge time has expired. The electrode returns automatically to the
0-position.
5. After the welding process has been completed, press the pneumatic button (away from the tube bottom) to release the head.

In order to move to the next position the arbor must be unclamped. To this purpose the pneumatic button has to be moved in the
opposite direction of the arbor.

10.1 Instructions for care

Do not
use lubricants or glide agents.

Ensure that no foreign matter enters the rotating area.

If the surfaces are soiled, use only residue-free cleaning agents for cleaning.
10.2 Maintenance and care
The following instructions for care depend, if not stated otherwise, strongly on the usage of the weld head.

Ensure permanently that the arbor and the associated components are in a
faultless state.

Take special note of the isolator. This can influence the welding quality notably. A
damaged isolator can result in destruction of the arbor.

The protective gas shield and electrode holder are to be cleaned regularly.
Before every use

Check the hose package and weld head for damage.

Check the electrode.
Regularly (depending on usage)

Blow out the weld head regularly by means of compressed air.
Weekly

Clean the rotor with acetone.
Every 2 years

Have the power-cooling liquid cable replaced by the Service of Orbitalum Tools
GmbH.
