3. 3. Setting up PC Communication
Prior to communicate, the photometer must be connected to the computer and
communication properties must be set. Connect PC’s COM or remote ETH/serial port to the
photometer’s communication port. For RS-232/485 settings on the photometer see 2.4.1
Serial communication Port in this manual.

StreetLightVision software selects COM1 as the default. If port is occupied by other
device, the message “Port closed!” appears. In this case select another port and click
Open port button. When port is successfully open, the message "Port OK!" appears.
Communication speed is fixed at 9600 bps. When communicating, photometer must be
powered on!
