Lower links (4 Fig. 12)
When fitting implements to the lower
links always fit the left-hand link first and
use the levelling lever, as necessary, to
assist in the fitting of the right-hand link.
The maximum recommended lift load for
normal working is:
1000 kg (2205 lbs).
The stabilizers (2) ensure that the
lower links DO NOT sway into the rear
wheels.
Stabilizers (Fig. 13)
The stabilizers will control the sway
of the lower links and attached equipment
when in work or being transported. This
is especially important when operating on
slopes or near fences, walls or ditches and
with certain implements. Check your Im-
plement Operator Instruction Book.
Once fitted, link stabilizers need not
be removed from the tractor, but to ensure
easy and efficient operation the following
points must be observed:
1. Check chains must not be removed
when the stabilizers are fitted.
2. Ensure that the stabilizers have side-

WARNING
DO NOT, in any circumstances, at-
tempt to pull or tow from the top link
connection. DO NOT operate the tractor
with the threads showing.
The top link length is adjusted by turn-
ing the sleeve. The top link is adjusted
when the implement is fitted to give the
correct operating angle.
Lift rod length (3 and 5 Fig. 12)
The lift rod must be set to the correct
length to obtain the optimum implement
depth and maximum transport height. The
left-hand lift rod(3 Fig.12) length is set at
the factory but right-hand rod(5Fig.12) is
ways movement when the links are
fully raised.

Before working with soil engaging im-
plements, the stabilizers must be adjusted
to allow a total implement side-swing of
100 mm (4 in) measured at the implement
cross-shaft ends, i.e. 50 mm (2 in) of
movement either side of the tractor centre
line.
