2.5.6 Discrete I/O Configuration
The Discrete IO configuration allows the user to observe the current state of the discrete
inputs (Input 1 and Input 3), and set the default startup state for the discrete outputs
(Output 1 and Output 3).
Select Option (1) or Option (3) to toggle the default state for Outputs 1 and 3 respectively
(Low or High).
To use Output Discrete 1 as an indication of the radio link status select Option (4).
Panic Mode
This feature allows a button to be attached to either Discrete Input 1 or 3 and used to
communicate a panic state. When this feature is enabled and a button attached between
Discrete Input 1 or 3 and ground is closed, the unit will change the state of the panic field
in the $PMIN1 GPS string from 0 to 1 for five GPS update cycles. The unit must
configured to transmit the $PMIN1 GPS string. The application receiving the GPS data
should be configured to monitor this field from all units and report or alarm this state
change.
