5.12 Establishing the mains connection
The mains connection (AC-distribution side) is established by trained qualified specialists.
DANGER
There is a risk of electric shock when touching parts that are under voltage.

Only ever have work on the electrical equipment performed by
specialised electricians with WLE certification and who have been
specifically trained for working on electrical equipment and who are
capable of recognising and avoiding dangers.

Before establishing the mains connection, make sure that all of the
DC contactors have been disconnected.
The applicable VDE provisions and the technical connection conditions (TAB) of
the local electricity supply company must be complied with when establishing the
mains connection.
The battery storage system has a power output of 30 kVA per outdoor control cabinet.
The power cable must be set up based on the power output as well as the cable length
and the ambient conditions in accordance with VDE 0100. A power cable with the
dimensions 5 x 16 mm² is recommended. The maximum core cross-section that can be
connected to the connection terminals of the battery storage system is 25 mm². The
connection terminals of the battery storage system are marked with -XD11 and are shown
in the following illustration.

A power and energy flow measurement at the main connection point is required for the
applications (e.g. “Optimisation of energy consumption”). The entire energy requirements flow
via the main connection points and are optimised by the relevant application. The following
