you’ll have no problems.
Otherwise it is important to remember the following:
to start communications using a generic radio device, you have
to press the dedicated PTT button and release it when you have
finished.
Using TRIBE you don’t have to press any button - just start talking.
The down side is that vocal activation is not instant – it takes about 2
seconds.
When you start talking in fact, the first few seconds are lost and not
heard by the other parties. To avoid losing words get used to saying
something irrelevant for these first few seconds after which you can
start talking without interruptions.
When you have finished talking, a double sound warns you for a few
seconds that the communication has ended and you can start talking
to someone else.
In brief, to enjoy a good level of conversation you mustn’t be in a
hurry to reply and do not talk when you are listening to another party.
For a better conversation quality, besides choosing the channel to
use, we suggest selecting a subchannel as well, CTCSS or DCS to be
set on all the devices.
Despite the fact that TRIBE has a range of up to 12 Km (as mentioned
in the handbook), it is difficult to reach this distance in daily use if
conditions are not optimum.
The distances given in the icons on the pack do not, however, exclude
the possibility that they can be greatly exceeded, reaching the
maximum distances given in the instruction handbook.
