Chapter 4

After removing the printer from the shipping container, install the
printer according to the following procedure. The only tool required
is a M4 Phillips screwdriver.

1

. Remove the printer from its aluminum shrink pack, and place the

printer on a level surface. Remove the tape attached to exterior
of the main unit.

2

. Open the printer cover, and open the Print Head Station (PHS)

unit by lifting the handle.

3

. Remove the pad under the PHS unit (with tag), but leave the

paper towels.

4. Installation

4.1

Assembling
the Printer

IMPORTANT!

It is most important that the installation

procedure is carried out exactly as

described in this chapter. If not, the

printer will not work and is subject to

the risk of severe damage!

Note!
Save packing material, clips, pads etc.
in case you need to transport the printer
later (see Appendix A.2). Replacement
packing material can also be provided
by your local Intermec distributor.
