3 Connect one end of the UTP cable to an RJ-45 port on the
switch.
According to IEEE 802.3, the cable length must not exceed 100
meters (approximately 325 feet).
4 Connect the other end to the 100Base-TX connection on the
device.
Connecting the Power
Introduction
After connecting the devices to the switch, connect the power cable.
There are certain practical and safety considerations to be made be-
fore powering the switch on.

Ground warning
The switch is delivered with a power cable to fit the power sockets in
your country. If this is not the case, contact your dealer immediately
and ask for the correct power cable.

The wires in the power cable provided with this equipment are col-
ored in accordance with the following code:
Important for UK use
The colors of the wires in the power cable provided with this equip-
ment may not correspond with the markings which identify the termi-
nals in your plug, use the following procedure:
1 Check that the wire colored green and yellow is connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter E, or by the ground
symbol
or colored green and yellow.

Check that the wire colored blue is connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or colored black.
