8.6.2 Replacing the starter

Fig. 105

The starters are located on the left-hand side of the front lamp
sockets.

Procedure

Open the door.

Switch off the unit.

Remove the defect starter out of its socket by rotating it by 90°
anti-clockwise.

Fit the new starter into the socket by rotating it clockwise.

NOTICE!

Fluorescent tubes contain mercury. Dispose of
fluorescent tubes according to the local statutory
regulations.

8.7 Cleaning the algae illumination

Clean the Plexiglas panel and the tubes as follows:

Procedure

Open the door.

Switch off the unit and disconnect it from the power supply.

Hold onto the front edge of the Plexiglas panel with both

hands and pull it downwards uniformly off the tubes.

Clean the Plexiglas panel with a soft cloth and a mild

household cleaner.

Clean the tubes with a soft cloth and a mild household

cleaner.

Replace the Plexiglas panel with the clips by pressing it gently

onto the tubes.
